Miss Lucys: (693-5244) offers beach side dining with delicious West Indian side dishes. Lunches and dinners are served Tuesday thru Saturday. Sunday mornings they offer brunch with live jazz and once a month they have a full moon party with music and dancing.
Shipwreck Landing: (693-5640) This open aired restaurant & bar serves dishes ranging from hamburgers and fries to fresh local fish and delicious juicy steaks. Be sure to ask for their Bushwhacker, a decadent blender drink that tastes much like a milkshake but definitely made for adults. Often there is music in the evenings and sometimes a jamming session. While you are at Shipwreck Landing be sure to visit the shops there ... you will find original island wear, T-shirts screen printed on location, and a variety of unique treasures to keep or give as gifts.
Island Blues: (776-6800) Shore side restaurant & bar, is open to the lively sea breezes. A varied menu is offered including a great daily soup, sandwiches, fresh and interesting salads and several daily specials. Ask them about their music schedule too.
Donkey Diner: (693-5240) : Great spot for breakfast Wed. through Sun. Very reasonable and very good. Wednesday and Friday evenings it becomes the local pizza joint, serving a variety of very tasty pizzas and calazones you can eat there on the back patio or take back to the villa with you. The Donkey Diner is also an internet cafe where you can connect either using your own laptop or one of the three they have available.
Sweet Plaintains: (777-4653) : Delightful West and East Indian dinners, including fabulous made from scratch curries. Indoor and terrace dining. Closed Mondays.
Aqua Bistro: (776-5336) At the Cocoloba Shops. Happy Hour: Mon-Fri 4 pm - 6 pm. Dinners 7 days a week 5:30 pm - 9 pm. Lunches are 11 am - 3:30 pm Mon- Sat. Sunday Brunch: 10 am- 3 pm. (Aqua Bistro received the 2006 Best of VI American Caribbean Brunch award.)
Mosquito Bites: Great breakfast and baked goods in the Cocoloba Shops.
Skinny Legs Bar & Grill: (779-4982) Great local atmosphere and the best burgers on the island.
Take your camera and drive up the mountain to the Bordeaux lookout where you will enjoy the finest view of Coral Bay. Also there you will find Chateau Bordeaux: (776-6611) well known for its spectacular views and fine gourmet meals; and the store, Tutu Tango, featuring island made jewelry, straw hats, sunglasses and many other intriguing items.
An interesting array of shops and conveniences surround the Skinny Legs Bar and Grill:
Connections East: (779-4994), a good place to go for all your communication needs. You can hook up your laptop or use one of the several there. Also phones, faxing and mail services are available. Can also make arrangements for sailing and snorkeling trips. Doghouse, Mumbo Jumbo: (779-4277) and the Coconut Trading Post are great places to find island wear, accessories, wraps, T-shirts, shoes and unique gifts to take home with you.
